The Good Hair Routine

Haircare Academy - Hair Routines
You don't need ten different products to take good care of your hair. Start with the basics.
Your basic hair routine
-
Wash with shampoo (on the scalp) Wash when the scalp feels dirty or oily.
-
Always use conditioner Conditioner makes hair soft and prevents breakage. Use in the lengths, not too much on the scalp itself.
-
Blow-drying rather than towel-rubbing Do not rub your hair dry with a towel! Press the water out and use a blow dryer with heat protection on low to medium heat.
-
Style gently Use wax/gel, but don't pull your hair hard.
Medical treatment (Need to have)
If you are treated for hereditary hair loss:
- Minoxidil: Applied to the scalp (can be used 14 days after a transplant).
- Finasteride: Prescription pill for men. Slows down hair loss.
Nice to have
- Heat protection
- Leave-in conditioner for dry hair
- Serum (for shine)
- Hair oil (for the ends)
Start simple. Shampoo, conditioner, and heat protection are your foundation.
